Christ the light of the world!

Good morning to all of Gods family, People offer many excuses for not accepting Christ. Some say there are hypocrites in the church. Others claim parts of the Bible aren’t true. These are merely attempts to conceal a heart in rebellion against God. The ultimate reason people do not come to Christ is that they just don’t want to.

John 3:19-20 KJV

And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. [20] For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.

John 8:12 KJV

Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.

John 12:46-48 KJV

I am come a light into the world, that whosoever believeth on me should not abide in darkness. [47] And if any man hear my words, and believe not, I judge him not: for I came not to judge the world, but to save the world. [48] He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day.

We cannot have fellowship with God while we deliberately sin,

failing to reflect His moral character; thinking God will compromise his holiness to accommodate our sin.

Acts 26:18 KJV

To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me.

Ephesians 5:8-11 KJV

For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as children of light: [9] (For the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth;) [10] Proving what is acceptable unto the Lord. [11] And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them.

If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth:

When we come to Christ

We are warned not to attempt any cover-up. Make a clean break from Sin.

Sin has a way of enslaving you and dictating your actions,

So don’t give sin a vote in the way you conduct your lives. Don’t give it the time of day. Don’t even run little errands that are connected with that old way of life. Throw yourselves wholeheartedly into God’s way of doing things. Sin can’t tell you how to live.
